It is indeed a great privilege on my part to offer a warm welcome to those students who aspire to pursue their education in Dalgoma Anchalik College which is one of the premier institutions of higher education in Assam. Dalgoma Anchalik College was established in 1993 as a cumulative consequence of the noble initiative and painstaking efforts collectively undertaken by a host of leading citizens and the general public of greater Dalgoma area. It is a co-educational institute affiliated to Gauhati University, imparting under-graduate level of teaching in the faculty of Arts. The college also offers Distance Education under Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), Gauhati University. It was provincialised recently with effect from 1st January, 2013.
Dalgoma Anchalik College is situated in a rural area almost 28 kilometres to the east of Goalpara town with a view to expand the landscape of quality education to the students of the locality to make them able to excel in their interests and strength to the best of their ability and follow knowledge beyond the utmost bounds of horizon so that they can achieve the limits of human aspirations in life quite expectedly. Our purpose in this college is to light the lamp of knowledge and ignite the mind of the young generation to make them innovative, self-reliant and responsive to the needs of the society. For their all round development, we extend the vistas of education and infuse the spirit of curiosity to follow knowledge both in academic and physical domains of human aspirations. To reach this goal the college has undertaken adequate steps and made diverse facilities open for all the students so that they can hopefully achieve a healthy and harmonious blending of mind and soul in life. In Dalgoma Anchalik College we collect gems from the dust and polish them for the crown and therefore, the vision that has been architected for the college is to empower the young generation so that they can be able to face the challenges of life quite intellectually and appropriately and become dignified and responsible citizens armed with knowledge and ability.
I feel honoured when I mention the teachers who have dedicated themselves to offer the best of education to the young students to shape them as dynamic personality equipped with knowledge, skill and advancement of the 21st century, and make the society unique and ideal one.
